Sgt.Robert Bourquin, USMC: A Wake Island Veteran Tells His Story
In 2012, at age 91, Sgt Robert Bourquin, USMC (ret.) is one of the last surviving veterans of the heroic WWII battle for Wake Island. A small contingent of Marines, caught in a surprise attack, dramatically outgunned and outnumbered by the Japanese fleet, held their isolated post for sixteen days. At last, suffering heavy casualties, the survivors were forced to surrender. They spent the next four years as POW's, living under the harshest of conditions. This is a story of courage in the face of death, perseverance through hardship and even humor amid despair. Watch and listen as Sgt Bourquin recounts, first-hand, the stories of this epic saga. Quote

"What a wonderful way for us golden agers to recall personal and family history that we would like to pass on to our children, grandchildren and their  children. Your format was well organized and ignited many dormant memories. Our family loves the professional quality of the DVD. I’m sure it will become a family heirloom, watched with pride whenever it is shown. I would highly recommend this as a gift to family which will be treasured for decades to come."

My Story

My Story

I was born in 1962, my father in 1897. A 65 year gap! As a boy, his stories of an era gone by a time of mule teams and Model A's captured my imagination.

As I have grown older and had children of my own, I realize how little I knew of much of his life, how easily stories fade, and how I wish I had captured more. What a gift those stories would be to my children.

One day I began to think about how my skills as a videographer could be used to help preserve such stories. I shared my ideas with friends and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Thus, Legacy Video Productions was born.

Maybe cameras make you shy, but I can assure you that your friends and family will treasure always the stories you have to tell whether grand or simple.

We specialize in making the experience comfortable and creating a beautiful and memorable record of your life. I look forward to helping you tell your story of a lifetime.
